Highlights
Safety: Member of several site safety committees and participant on both in house and corporate safety audits.
Emergency Response Team: Member of the plant emergency team. Trained in first aid, CPR, AED, confined space and a Haz-Mat first responder. Captain of the first shift team for the 6 years.
Cost savings: Submitted several cost saving projects. The largest being the conversion to a filterpress (~ $200,000 per year) and chemistry changes in the treatment system (~ $85,000 per year)
Leadership: Member of the board of directors for the plant Credit Union. Served as President, Vice President and general member for 15 years. Served as President, Vice President and general member on the Employees Activity Association steering committee.
Summary
Over 30 years of experience has afforded me the opportunity to utilize my knowledge in several different areas. From lab technician to supervisor to control specialist, I have obtained a broad based knowledge in several different areas. I have been involved with numerous production concepts include JIT, TQM, SPC, 5S, Continuous Improvement, and team Building concepts. Hands-on knowledge of various Laboratory, plating and waste water treatment equipment. Familiarity with ISO 9000, ISO 14000, OSHA, EPA and DEP requirements. Computer savvy with Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MFG/PRO, Kronos, JD Edward Inventory systems and other programs associated with plant operations.
