Freelancer

I am a gardening columnist and travel writer for this regional magazine with a readership of 56,000. The distribution area includes Louisiana and southern Arkansas.

Mar. 2008 – December 2008 Printing Edge Jacksonville, Florida

Project Manager

Primary responsibilities included managing workflow for every project that moved through the shop, acting as account executive for our large accounts, creating marketing packages for clients, writing copy, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and developing new business opportunities through strategic marketing and outside sales calls.

Additional responsibilities include researching new products and technologies, holding training classes for new employees in our partner companies, and attending tradeshows and networking events. While at Printing Edge I increased revenue and expanded our client base by recruiting new clients and reinvigorating the existing base. I also created a Client Retention program for Brightway Insurance (Florida’s fastest growing insurance company) designed to grow their brand and increase referrals. In addition, I increased profits by providing in-house copy writing for brochures, postcards, sales sheets, email newsletters, etc (samples available upon request).

Primary responsibilities included managing the front of the store and workflow for all orders, coordinating sales for the current client base and recruiting new clientele through outside sales. In addition, I was responsible for training 4 new CSRs on product knowledge, print requirements, software, and basic customer service skills. While at FASTSIGNS I created a tracking program to manage production and shipping for one of our large nationwide fulfillment accounts.

Primary responsibilities included assisting clients in referral services pertaining to health and social welfare (HUD, SSDI) as well as acting as an advocate for clients with related agencies, performing intake interviews on new clients and monthly maintenance interviews, attending monthly planning meetings with related agencies, managing client files, scheduling appointments for individual and group therapy sessions, and facilitating group therapy sessions.

Additional responsibilities included performing HIV testing and counseling, revising and updating VOICES filing system, preparing grant information for the BRAIDS program and maintaining audit information for the grants, and recruiting new clients for the VOICES program.
