SOW Minimum Qualifications

Native-level speaker with an ILR proficiency level of 4 in reading, listening and speaking in the standard form of the language to be taught. Native level speaker well educated in all facets of formal, written Pashto and Dari Languages. Possesses self-assessed ILR level 4/4/4 in reading, listening and speaking. Knowledgeable in the nuances and subtleties of target language dialects. Possesses the ability to analyze and tailor social, political, economic or cultural aspects of the language to a variety of audiences in a variety of formats. Possesses self assessed 4/4/3 level in Urdu reading, listening and speaking.

Five (5) years experience in adult language education and methodology. Over three (3) years combined experience in adult language education and methodology, teaching Pashto to government staff, at the Defense Language Institute at Monterey and in giving private lessons to an American family in Peshawar.

Three (3) years experience developing and teaching using blended learning. Nearly two (2) years experience in employing blended learning teaching methodologies. Has used a variety of modalities to deliver training via platform, synchronous and asynchronous e-Learning and web-based instruction to augment students’ learning experiences. Has used Power Point with the Smart Board for instructional purposes. Has uploaded teaching materials to online repositories for student access from remote locations using One Note in Black Board.
