Electrical / Mechanical Contractor
9/2007 - 9/2009 Flores Engineering Company, Monterrey, Nuevo Leon,
Mexico
I worked on various mechanical and electrical installation and repair
projects in Mexico. I was self employed. I was the contractor. I did
one small job for Chip Blaster US. The rest of my jobs were all
Mexican companies.
Service Engineer
6/2006 – 8/2007 Vulcan Engineering Company, Helena, Alabama, USA
I worked on a project in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, in the construction of a
foundry. Vulcan Engineering was the general contractor. I assisted in
monitoring the installation and startup of the plant. I had responsibilities of
Panelview and PLC programming and troubleshooting problems.
Maintenance Supervisor
10/1999 - 6/2006 W. R. Grace Company, Irondale, Alabama, USA
WR Grace is a manufacturer of fire proofing. I was accountable to the plant
manager for all maintenance of the plant and production facilities. I was
responsible for the maintenance staff. I was responsible for the maintenance
budget and the purchase of parts and machinery. I left WR Grace because I
was offered more money and new challenges with Vulcan Engineering
Company.
Shift Leader, Assistant Maintenance Manager, Shift Mechanic
2/1996 - 10/1999 Constar, Incorporated, Birmingham, Alabama, USA
Constar produces plastic drink bottles for Pepsi and several others. I worked one
year as a Shift Mechanic. I was offered a job as Assistant Maintenance Manager. I
worked for one year in that regard. Due to family problems, I asked the transfer to
another department to work in shifts. I served as a Shift Leader for the remainder of
my time in Constar. As Shift Leader I was responsible for the supervision of all
employees in the plant.
Chief Engineer, Maintenance Technician
3/1993 - 2/1996 National Linen Service, Birmingham, Alabama
National Linen Service is an industrial laundry. I started as a maintenance
technician. Six months on the job, I was offered and accepted the post of chief
engineer. As Chief Engineer, who is accountable to the Plant Manager for all
maintenance activities, including facilities maintenance, I was responsible for the
maintenance budget and the purchase of parts. I left National Linen Service
because they closed the plant in Birmingham.
Pump Mechanic
3/1991 - 2/1993, Brownlee - Morrow Engineering Company, Birmingham, Alabama, USA
Brownlee-Morrow Engineering Company sells and services industrial pumps, fans,
blowers and many other rotating machinery. I have built new units and repaired used
pumps, fans, blowers, etc.
