• Provide direct patient care in Ambulatory setting

• Serves as a PS resource and confers with all levels of personnel to develop program plans directed at risk identification, reduction, and prevention to decrease both the frequency and severity of preventable medical events and harm to patients.

• Assesses the effectiveness of organization-wide PS program.

• Ensures mechanism is in place to track deployment and sustainment of risk reduction strategies and improvement recommendations resulting from PS activities.

• Guides MTF leadership in the identification of events requiring RCA and the recommended RCA team composition.

• Facilitates the RCA team through to completion of the RCA process

• Uses PI techniques and tools to examine support and direct care processes, and assist in the development of risk reduction strategies.
