Through ** years as an art director I have grown not only as a designer, but as a manager, a teacher & a strategic thinker. I have learned to articulate the creative process, tying logic & strategy to creative solutions. I have an understanding of design and the role it plays in cohesive, consistent & clear communication. I respect that typography makes a sound, color creates atmosphere, and that the only thing more powerful than a great photo is how it is (or isn’t) cropped.
EXPERIENCE
Senior Art Director
RDA International
NYC
Dec 2005 - Present
As a Senior Art Director at RDAi, I spent several years brand building for Aloft & Element Hotels. Working directly with Starwood from their conception allowed us to create and influence not only the visual identity also ensure brand cohesion thru in-hotel programming & practices. I worked as the creative lead developing strategy, brand identity, in-hotel collateral, photo shoots, marketing & PR efforts, brochures and advertising.
Once the Aloft and Element brands were fully developed and running in auto-pilot (as intended) I was named lead creative for Nivea & Eucerin North America interactive. We successfully launched Eucerin's new global 'skinfirst' platform, via a newly branded website and through face book & national marketing efforts. I also maintained NIVEA's US brand and created sub brands including 2010's Good-Bye-Cellulite Challenge and Kiss the One You Love Contest as well as branded integrations with The Ellen Show, the US Women's Volleyball team and Bill & Giuliana Rancic. Aside from the my creative responsibilities, I was heavily involved in developing strategic platforms and marketing campaigns. NIVEA's Kiss the One you Love New Year's Contest, manifested itself in Times Square NYC on January 2011 across various live networks. The contest itself resulted in NIVEA's 150% Increase in face book fans for its duration, far exceeding our expectation.
Currently, I am managing the re branding of Harry & David, a gifting company. I am playing a key role in the re-design efforts including catalogs, shipper packaging, store signage and web marketing. I oversee of designers, production artists and freelancers as well as collaborate to ensure the new brand we have developed is being executed properly across all medias.
