Construction Manager and Desktop Remote Technician
May 2009 – June 2010 Hewlett Packard/C-IV Consortium Project
Managed multiple C-IV projects, installing 400 plus Desktop Computer Systems, Printers and Scanners.
Directed multiple teams for successful CAT 5e installs, hardware placement and project completion.
Provided Remote Maintenance services for seven individual counties throughout California.

Telecommunications Manager
Managed 80 maintenance technicians during this period. Provided guidance for maintenance to 14 major exchange copper cables and over 100 miles of fiber optic cable. Trained and assigned six personnel to Quality Assurance responsibilities to monitor and certify new installations and maintenance activities. During a post hurricane restoration efforts, directed Premise Wiring team of 18 personnel to replace damaged intra-building CAT5 cabling with new CAT5e and CAT 6 cabling throughout a 250 facility Air Force Base. The results were noted as outstanding and saved the Air Force approximately $4M dollars in material and contracting costs.

Wireless Communications Manager
Hand selected to manage a transitional work center; an agency was transitioning from military to civilian personnel. Although, manning reduced by 50%, I directed an inventory of $7.5M in mobile radio assets, 4000 instruments; first in five years that an accurate equipment inventory was completed. Secured and processed $4M for an APCO-25 upgrade for a fixed trunking system and 4000 state-of-the-art handheld radios. Saved $13,500 by cutting 225 un-needed cellular telephones. Completed the transition six months ahead of schedule.

Telecommunications Service Manager
Managed 12 Installation/Maintenance Technicians, supporting the installation and maintenance of eight major copper exchange cables, and more than 100 miles of fiber optics cable. Led the design and installation of numerous CAT5e projects at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. Directed the upgrade of six major exchange cables, raising proficiency rate from 68 to above 90 percent. Directed the installation of new network infrastructure for Offutt Air Force Base LAN/WAN systems; an expansion of more than 30 percent. Upgrade for 200 buildings at Langley Air Force Base and in Southeast Asia in the design and installation of premise wiring projects. Directed the installation of open face racks, sealed cabinets, and premise wiring. Performed forming and securing of large bundles of CAT5e and CAT6 cabling from Communication Closets to end user locations. Provided stenciling, tagging and termination and post test actions for CAT5e and CAT6 projects.
