JOB PROFILE:

Responsible for RF related activities at Coimbatore Cluster comprising of 6 districts with more than 300 cell sites and repeaters.

Responsible for defining RF related parameters at Ericsson and ZTE BSC.

Optimizing the New cellular network – Conducting Drive tests initially with scanner to fix the neighbor list. A loaded and unloaded drive is done and clearing sector overshooting, pilot pollution, and FER problems

Carry out load testing for the new base station after doing configuration change in the RF parameter.

Layer 3-message analysis for identifying specific issues with regard to site hardware and parameter definition.

Perform data testing for determining the Maximum Bandwidth that can be achieved per sector/per carrier/per site.

Optimization: Analyzing the collected drive test data using Actix, ZTE CNA or with TEMS DESKCAT, post processing tool and perform the required changes like neighbor list updating, antenna orientation, tilting and repeater deployment, sector splitting, etc.,

Report Generation: Performance and statistical reports generation on daily, weekly and monthly basis for troubleshooting and improving the network quality.

Planning and deployment of High power and Low power repeaters to improve the outdoor and in building coverage.

Performed Network Audits like TRAI Conducted by Indian Market Research Bureau on Behalf of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) for the appraisal of quality of service of all the Operators and IMRB (Indian Market Research Bureau).

Resolving network related customer complaints within the service level agreement.

Involved in Neighbor List tuning for the new sites in Chennai and ROTN.

Involved in new feature testing like PTT, GSRDM, CCLM, Hard handoff etc.

Responsible for getting the TEC (Telecommunication Engineering Center) certificates for the Network.

Major Activities

Designing new sites for CDMA, Coverage prediction using Agilent Wizard planning tool for the cell sites. Cell site planning for new upcoming sites in TamilNadu using Ericsson’s TEMS Cell Planner.

Optimizing the New CDMA Network –Conducting Drive tests initially with drive tool to fix the neighbor list. Loaded and unloaded drives are done and clearing sector overshooting, pilot pollution. We use Agilent’s Nitro drive test tool, ZTE CNT and Ericsson’s TEMS Investigation for Drive tests.

Post processing of Drive tests using Actix Analyzer, ZTE CNA and Ericsson’s TEMS Desk cat.

RF Surveys and planning has been carried out for Phase 6 roll outs and and taken active role in releasing the SAM (Search Area Map).

RF Surveys carried out for Repeater Installation using Ericsson’s TEMS Indoor and installed the Indoor Repeaters (10, 27 and 33 dBm) without vendor support.

Optimization of the network by analyzing the Performance using TEMS Cell Sight (5.1) and Metrica reports.

Involved in Neighbor List updation for the new sites in Chennai and Rest of TamilNadu with Ericsson.

Configuring and changing the power parameters of the RBS using CITRIX integrated software to resolve SDCA overlapping problems. Updation of the neighbor list to avoid handoff failures also done using the same software.

Handling Customer Complaints related to Network.

Improved the Paging Success rate of the Nw in 2009 better than 2008.

Completed the rehoming of 84 cell sites between different BSCs to offload the BSC utilization.

Have improved the Quality of Service in Coimbatore city from 96% to 99.1% within 2 weeks timeline.

Completed the complete swap of Ericsson sites to ZTE in Coimbatore city for HSIA launch.

Completed benchmarking drive in all the municipal towns in Coimbatore cluster & improving the QOS above 99%.(15 towns).

Completed benchmarking drive in all the 8 DHQs in Coimbatore cluster & achieved NW QOS to be more than 98%.

Carrying out EMF analysis for TTSL in CBE cluster according to TERM terms.
