COURSE: Training in safety procedures, shop theory, blueprint reading, math; Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry. Set-up/operation of manual and conventional lathes, mills, grinders, drill press machines, and Bridgeport mill such as tramming, center finding, edge finding, angle setups using the sine bar and gage blocks, drilling and tapping, and calculating rpm. Engine lathe setup such as calculating speeds and feeds, tapering, knurling, OD/ID threading, boring. Basic CNC mill & lathe operations, as well as surface grinder setup/operations.
