• Founded and served as treasurer for Fund for National Garden USBG in Washington DC. Project completion took over twenty years of preparation project / management and cost $16 million dollars of privately donated funds. The new public National Garden is now a permanent addition to the Mall area and enriches all who work in or visit the Nation's Capitol.

• Served as the industry's first two term president of AARS Inc., the industry's marketing order, representing over 98% of all production annually in North America. While serving in this capacity promoted the product lineup to media and celebrity events across the United States.

• Founded and served as director of TNLA Education and Research Foundation for four years providing educational scholarships to college students studying agriculture and horticulture majors. The foundation also provides numerous grants in agriculture and horticulture research.

• Designed and developed new gardens throughout Texas such as UTMB Galveston, TX Gleaves James Garden, Renovation Project State Capitol Historic Preservation Garden Austin, TX, Col. Don Burns Veterans Memorial Garden Mineral Wells, TX

Operations Design and Engineering C/R Inc.

• Overall responsible for the operational product development management of the company by implementing changes in the processing operations of the processing plant. The design and installation of a newly developed packaging machine with blue prints designed by myself with fabrication being outsourced to a third party vendor. The result completed project yielded an increase of 300% finished units on a daily basis per machine over previous processing by hand. The corporation increased sales and profits for this business unit. The original machines are still in use successfully today.

Marketing and Customer Account Management C/R Inc.

• Served as the marketing representative for regional and national trade shows and exhibitions. Perfecting the skills necessary for developing contacts and new customer relationships.

• Kept up to date with market and product trends. Reporting to corporate management and board representatives

• Led the development and adoption of many new packaging concepts, brand initiations, marketing promotions and ideas.

These actions resulted in improved supply and processing efficiencies during and after harvest. Production increased making the corporation one of the largest provider/processors of garden roses in North America.

Research and Development C /R Inc.

• Initiated long term multicultural relationships with R&D personnel and suppliers from around the world. Bringing the best of plant genetics from around the world and incorporating favorable traits for development into viable commercial markets.

• Coordinated adoption of national industry standards for quality Interfaced with fellow industry leaders to adopt mandatory standards of quality used by state and national regulatory agencies to insure future success of industry operations and interstate commerce.

• Appointed person in charge of procurement and adoption of critical new technologies required by the corporation in the areas of IT and science related issues.

• Directed vendors to source and fabricate new materials that would serve the needs of the mechanical production line and the branded consumer packaging of the corporation.

• Developed new methodology perfecting the techniques to expedite the growth cycles of selective saleable plant units effectively reducing the time needed by one year saving the production direct cost per unit and streamlining delivery potentials. Cost reductions were passed along to affect pricing points in wholesale markets. The net result was an improvement of market share across all divisions.

• Developed new types of processing for the plant product line using renewable and biodegradable materials. This was accomplished long before the green revolution and environmental consumer awareness became prevalent in the media and press. The resulting packaged dormant potted rose bush is currently the largest selling product in mass merchant lawn and garden live plant divisions

Greenhouse and Field Production C/R Inc.

• Served as point person for corporation to major accounts providing solutions to production issues with respect to plant production and crop disease issues. Instituted new plant disease diagnostic tools to insure customer satisfaction.
