I was in charge of the general arrangement drawings for the secondary

systems and connecting chutes. Two of these conveyors were 800 feet long

and the third was one mile long. This was part of the Morenci project

Designed and detailed various conveyor systems and machines, also a large

for the production of roofing shingles. I designed piping systems for the

equipment, ranging from water, steam, thermal fluid, and asphalt.

I designed the structural platform, catwalks, railings, and ladders, also

the

supports for the conveyors and production equipment. I did the assembly

drawings as well as the bill of materials. I sized pumps, motors, shafts

and bearings, gearboxes, belt and chain drives, and universal drive shafts.

These 60 inch wide conveyors were used for the transportation of rock from

the holding bins to the production equipment. I used AutoCAD 2005 complete

with windows computer package.
