IME Strategic Planning and Execution
Collaborate with Alliance partners and U.S./Global to assist in developing 3-5 year IME strategic plans with defined educational goals, HCP prioritization and effective modalities.
Lead weekly grant review committee, provide recommendations to approve/deny grants based on educational and clinical alignment, and manage budgets of all grants up to $50K.
Track IME program development, activity updates and educational outcomes as well as monitor live events to evaluate educational impact.
Assess educational quality and effectiveness of approved programs by evaluating HCP participation, faculty engagement, program content and outcomes to identify educational gaps and/or need for Request for Proposals (RFPs).
Develop relationships with professional medical societies, academic centers, medical education providers and other pharmaceutical industry supporters to assess capabilities and educational/medical strategies.
Identified IME landscape trends and potential educational opportunities by conducting competitive benchmarking analysis of other commercially-supported IME programs through publically-available transparency reports.
Development of IME Value Proposition and Communication
Design a pilot initiative with Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) and Regional Associate Directors (RADs) to work collaboratively and facilitate opportunities for MSLs to attend live events, provide feedback and allow IME to better understand local area needs.
Inform stakeholders of approved IME grants and outcomes on a quarterly basis.
Train medical new hires on IME processes and procedures.
Serve as IME lead to ensure coordination and communication of all IME activities which are related to priority key scientific congresses.
Proposed rationale and successfully obtained $200K for support live local IME diabetes programs for 2H2011 (original 2011 budget – $0).
Conducted in-depth interviews with multiple stakeholders (Commercial, Legal, Medical and Senior Leadership) in order to develop more effective tailored communication strategies.
Outside-the-Box Thinking and Visionary Leadership
Play a key role on the core team to promote an Advanced Practitioner (AP) customer model and partner with Market Research and MSLs to identify needs and preferences in order to deliver a superior customer experience.
Led a 10-month cross-functional medical strategy team and interface with Commercial and Global teams to prepare for a major diabetes competitor launch.
Supported a customer-focused initiative called ‘Customers at Center (c@c)’ on an ePharma work stream to identify novel sources of technology and social media for potential communication platforms to be used by medical matrix teams.
Established first-ever 5-week Pharm.D. student IME rotation with three schools of pharmacy and served as primary preceptor to four students to date.
Developed a 10-week MBA internship to create a ‘Return on Education (ROE)’ model.
