Entrepreneurial dairy farm developing full-service destination resort in addition to producing strong dairy product brand.
• Implemented vision of full-service agri-tourism destination resort. Business modeled after Disney Resorts, combining multiple products, services, and businesses in single destination. Served entrepreneurial and collaborative role in championing projects through development to implementation. Acted as operations and project manager, collaborating with project management team, reported to executive board.
Project Manager 2009 - Current
• Developed company’s first retail store. Conducted competitive research and product definition. Managed site-selection process, contracting, engineering, etc. Negotiated aggressive contracts.
• Fair Oaks sought funding to develop green technology (alternative fuel for milk delivery system). Developed proposal and met with Indiana Economy Development Corporation (IEDC) to present plan. Efforts resulted in $2 million grant from IEDC.
• Company had a historically tenuous relationship with county officials wary of heavy development. Focused on repairing relationship through communication and trust. Efforts garnered approval for all projects.
Strategic Planning 2007 - 2009
• Fair Oaks had an attractive yet poorly utilized website. Led a complete redesign of their online presence to improve communication channels and integrate ecommerce solutions. Introduced company to Search Engine Optimization (SEO), secure shopping, and social media such as blogging, Twitter, and Facebook.
