• Successfully lead the process development of lead drug candidate CMX-020 by an external CRO. The over all yield increased from less than 10% to more than 23% in 9 steps. The costly Pd catalyst was replaced by a cheaper and easy to scale catalyst for the final step partial reduction of 3-triple bonds.
• Critically reviewed the CMC section of the IND application submitted to the FDA with the experts.
Most of the work was carried out by CRO’s; I had the opportunity to manage the key contracts and advisory relationships. Skillfully managed the laboratory resources to deliver timely results and converted them into technical reports for IND submission to FDA, before Phase-I a clinical trials.

• Awarded a promotion from Scientist to Asst. Manager for successfully re-developing process for Phenthoate with 21% overall cost reduction and shorter time cycle. This product till date is being produced in the plant and CFL is the second largest producer.
• Successfully resolved the process difficulties in endosulfan and made the process very robust, this product was the core business, I was rewarded for this exceptional contribution.
• Volunteered to accept added responsibility to setup a new advanced formulation center. I attend a sponsored course titled “Newer formulation development” conducted by IPFT, Govt of India. Later developed formulations like Gels, micro-emulsions and WDG’s, one other notable product was water soluble packing of gels.
