In charge of recruiting, hiring, evaluating, transferring and discharging employees within company standards. Accountable for safety training too include driver orientation, monthly safety training, driver evaluations, accident prevention and post accident investigation. Required to maintain all driver records and ensure qualifications are met by each driver according to Ryder and Department of Transportation Standards. Qualifications include drug and alcohol testing, hours of service regulations and review of daily driver logs to ensure compliance. Oversaw drivers/members of safety team as they work to identify, suggest and implement changes in policy and best work practices to ensure a safe environment for all employees.
