Lead Designer-
As the Lead Designer for multiple publications, I developed and created consistent production work across a numerous
amount of media. I also designed and produce various printed materials, mostly magazine advertising and some
brochures. Additionally, I designed and created graphics to meet specific commercial or promotional needs, such
as packaging, displays, or logos. While doing these tasks, I was also a contributing designer to one of the area’s
largest full color print magazines (Hampton Roads Monthly). Quality control, being deadline orientated, as well as a
conceptual thinker helped me achieve success while employed.
Summer 2005- Fall 2006
Langley Airforce Base Hampton, VA 23669 757-***-****
Creative Director/Contractor-The Flyer-
While also still working with Targeted Publications, I was contracted to work at this Military Based Publication.
I had to conceptualize and layout a weekly publication. In addition, the position required that I create a number of
“Inserts or supplementary magazines. All required extensive editorial and creative layout. The Flyer
required that I follow strict guidelines while pushing the limits of creativity in a military based environment. The
supplements also allowed me to flex my creative muscles so to speak, with the luxury of a 4 color magazine
environment. All this would usually take place in a condensed weekly time frame.

Internship-
Under Debby Cooper I paid my dues, but was able to observe, listen, and learn about the advertising industry.
My largest and most complex task was the cataloging and organization of the company’s’ extensive font library.
This naturally gave me a new understanding of fonts, which has drastically improved my work. I also worked on
numerous publications such as The Autoguide, The Apartment Book, and many others.
