Retail Management/ Shift Leader

Education: High School Diploma , June 2003, ICDA Charter Hgh School , Reno, Nevada Attended Some college courses, September 2003, TMCC,Reno,NV Work experience: As a Blockbuster Shift Leader, I would either open or close the store depending on the time of my shift, I would do paperwork, receive/ transfer merchandise upon company request, if any employee needed training I would help them to the best of my knowledge. Customer service was very important at Blockbuster because, like at any retail company, without customer’s we would not have a job. I had to meet weekly sales goals, so I, as the shift leader would make quotas to hit every shift. At the end of the night I would count all of the tills, petty (our rolled coin/ change), and the deposit for the day. I would write out a deposit slip, get everything ready for the morning shift, for example cleaning and straightening the store, including our beverage bar, and turning off all of our tech items on display. Then the other employees and I would leave.
