Kao Brands Subsidiary markets moisturizer and hair-care consumer products including Jergens® and Curel® lotions, John Frieda® shampoos and conditioners, Biore® facial care products and Ban® deodorants.
Operations Product Development Leader August 2007 – February 2010
Cross functional project management/leadership role. Served as executive and functional liason responsible to lead the Marketing, R&D, Planning, Manufacturing and Contract Manufacturing functions through new product commercialization processes. The role’s main objective is to ensure seamless and timely new-product launches across the division. Specific responsibilities include: timeline creation, project tracking, execution, communication, the direction of manufacturing and engineering expertise to resolve any cost, quality, or customer service issues.
Launched over 50 new products within the Jergens®, Jergens Natural Glow® and Curel® brands.
Led the execution of over 150 package and formula revisions.
Utilized SAP system to manage the distribution of over 1100 documents.

Plant Manager August 2002 – August 2007
Lead the production facility to produce $400 million annually of Jergens lotion, Curel lotion and John Frieda haircare products. Managed 225 personnel including temporary employee, engineer, quality control, maintenance and production staff.
Started-up $10 million high-speed packaging and processing systems to 80% TPM Rate Efficiency in nine-months. TPM Quality Rate Improvements including lotion-formula and package-aesthetic defects reduced by 90%. Achieved one-hour changeovers using SMED techniques.
TPM ‘5-S’ Pillar workplace organization methodology deployed to eliminate micro-contamination quality incidents and to improve morale.
TPM Safety Pillar reinforced ‘Lock-out, Tag-out’ and ‘Behavior Observation’ systems to promote the eradication of injuries and accidents.
