I am seeking the job in the animal industry and because of my experience as a leader in the dairy industry for 36 years. I have had the opportunity to form merges with farm cooperatives, cooperative supply stores, and be a chairman of the board of directors that help move the diary industry to true protein testing for dairy records and payments. As an 18 year director for Dairyone, I have been involved in the foresight and development of testing advances for plant and dairyman quality testing and record keeping.
As secretary treasure for Dairyone Cooperative, A milk testing organization of over 300 employees, I was responsible to formulate and present the budget of $18 million to the board of director and 4000 member farms for approval. These along with other director responsibilities have allowed me to develop communication skills that will allow me to exceed in this position.
As a farmer for more than 30 years, I have interacted with milk plants, suppliers, trucking companies and field people to resolve and manage milk movement to meet the needs of myself and fellow dairyman.
As a farmer for 30 years, I have a deep understanding of the importance of commodity qualities and what it takes to obtain quality. I have designed and built several production facilities and have a great understanding of what it takes to build a large project and to be environmentally sound. I have had experience both in New York and Texas with environmental rules and regulations. I fully understand how to meet those requirements.
