multi-year funding scenarios.
The scope of this project was developing preliminary design of a proposed rail line and providing

Senior engineering manager for the owner of a major railroad tank car fleet. Responsible for
implementing preventive maintenance programs for vessels in hazmat service, providing technical
support to manufacturing operations, and field support to shippers. Monitored the life cycle
performance of railcar assets and utilized this data to effect design changes, provide decision support for
component sourcing, and maximize the in-service time of capital assets.

Senior engineering manager for a leading fabricator of highway cargo tank trailers and heavy haul
specialty trailers. Managed an engineering department that provided product design services in a build-
to-order manufacturing environment. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and quality of
technical work product at the facility.
Responsible for designing transportation equipment that operates at maximum road weight, is fully
compatible with commodities at transportation temperatures, and connects efficiently with the
customer's loading rack assets. Designed pressure vessels in carbon steel, stainless steel, and clad nickel
alloys.
Developed testing protocols to evaluate corrosion and remaining shell life in pressure vessels. This
evaluation protocol supported the continuing qualification of the vessels (regulatory process) and
supported maintenance procedures that maximized the service life of assets (business process).
