METCALF & EDDY, Wakefield, MA (AECOM) 1988-2009

Information Technology Manager (2001-2009)

 AECOM bought Metcalf & Eddy in 2001.

 Manage the technical, operational and administrative efforts of a staff of seven IT professionals.

 Provide IT support to over 300 employees at corporate headquarters and secondary support to 3 remote LAN Administrators providing IT support to 16 smaller offices and over 500 users across the country.

 Maintain our local File, Print, and Applications servers with updates, software and hardware installs, and Backup and Recovery procedures.

 Systems currently in use include Windows 2000 and XP operating systems with Microsoft Office 2003 applications on our Dell computers.

 Work closely with our M&E local helpdesk and the Aecom helpdesk in problem resolution in a timely manner.

 Work with CFO and Director on budget preparations and implementation and for approvals for all equipment purchases and salary changes for IT personnel.

Systems Supervisor & Senior Systems Administrator (1988-2001)

 Monitored and maintained optimum levels of system performance of Wang VS 12650 mainframe with 300+ concurrent users.

 Relocated an entire computer room to a newly designated location in another building.

 Selected new Financial Systems Platform which concluded with Sun System with Oracle Applications.

 Recommended changes and/or products to enhance system performance.

 Modified Genedit configuration as seen beneficial. Perform daily/weekly/annual and non-routine back-ups/restores and the associated hard-copies to ensure data file integrity.

 Utilize CPMS (Capacity Performance Management System) to provide reports on specific criteria on system utilization, also used for UBU tape cartridge back-ups.
