THE ROCK CLUB, LLC. (Summer 2007-Present)

Shift Manager. Fielding all customer service, booking and retail inquiries. Responsible for customer check-in, supervising up to 15 front-end staff, ensuring smooth operation of programs and maintaining facility safety.

Marketing Assistant. Proofreading company website and print marketing materials and editing company website. Conceptualized and produced three marketing videos for the company’s website and YouTube: Two videos to promote after-school programs to various age sets, and a third video promoting the facility as a venue for bar mitzvahs, “Sweet 16s,” and other high-revenue accounts. Tabling events promoting the facility at local EMS stores.

PATCH.COM BEDFORD-KATONAH (Winter 2009)

Reporter. Filed stories on the newsworthy topics of the day under tight deadlines for the government, crime, nature, and school beats. Pitched my own stories and took assignments from the local editor.

Photographer. Contributed photography with all stories, as well as photos for pieces written by other reporters. Filed Photography for other sections of the website including profiles of town landmarks and nature preserves.

Videographer. Worked with local and regional editors to shoot, edit, and produce the website’s main introductory video for launch. Also contributed video packages on local news topics including the inauguration of town officials.

SCOTT'S CORNER MARKET (Fall 2003-Summer 2005)

Courtesy Desk//Assistant Shift Manager. Tended to all customer concerns, complaints. Answered main phones and forwarded calls to appropriate departments. Managed cash drops to and from the store's main safe and all cash reporting. Managed staff cashiers and baggers.

Ithaca Community Documentary Club, Co-Founder and Executive Officer (2008-2009): Organized viewings and analyses of documentary films from around the world and provided a community forum for student documentarians seeking assistance with projects. Booked Academy and Emmy-award nominated filmmaker Frederick Marx, of Hoop Dreams fame, to give a presentation and screening of past and current projects.

W-ICB/VIC Radio, Newscaster (2006-2009): Performed live newscasts covering national and local issues. Pre-recorded voiceover for specialty shows.

Ithaca College Crew, Rower and Coxswain (2005-2008): Empire 8 President’s List (Fall 2007), honors student-athletes showing exceptional academic performance.
