As a patient service rep at this busy multi-specialty facility I was responsible for answering patient questions about billing, procedures, policies and availble services. Also acted as a liaison between patients and insurance companies and facilitated communication between physicians and patients. I scheduled appointments and surgical procedures also contacted hospitals for patient admit if needed as well as other specialty providers. I contacted insurance companies for authorizations and referrals. I maintained a clean work area while handling a full load of administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry and documentation duties utilizing Mysis and Epic EMR software.
