Qualifications:
31 years Certified Welder experience, 9 years as a tube welder in Boilermaker’s Local 363, and 22 years experience as a Certified Welder at Newton Power. While still keeping my certification status up I have been a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor working as a supervisor/planner since February 2004. I have been the station point of contact for scaffold, insulation and mechanical contractors on numerous occasions. I have a good fundamental knowledge of computers and many software applications. I use MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, Visio Professional and Emprv extensively on a daily basis and have extensive experience in Primavera and Smarteam. I attended Weld Inspector Training instructed by Wayne Mueller and Dan Coleman. Attended Primavera P-6 Training and have built forced outage and a 59 day maintenance schedule which I keep updated during the outages. I was the supervisor of the Ameren scheduler during our spring outage where APCom replaced Newton’s economizer. I completed Gestra Severe Duty Control Valve function and application training. I have completed Ameren’s Supervisor Certificate Program as of April 14, 2011. Since I became a management employee in 2004 I have received an “Exceeds Expectations” ranking during performance appraisals.

Mechanical Maintenance Planner: Responsible for supervising, plant personnel and contractors, keeping outage and safety packages as well as daily JR’s planned up ready to work. Have experience reading Sargent Lundy P&ID’s, Piping design tables, piping line list and Weld Procedure Specification Manual. Have been responsible for doing DCN’s to change valve design for valves that have continually failed in the past. I am currently responsible for purchasing valves and creating Traveler Packages for all boiler and piping code welds. I have been in charge of estimating all mechanical jobs and purchasing most parts since 2004.

Certified Welder: Worked a Certified Welder at Newton Power Station. Have extended experience in replacing boiler tubes, pad welding and making window welds. Am presently certified for all GTAW and SMAW processes available at Newton.

Certified Welder Boilermaker’s Local 363: I went to work as a construction Boilermaker hiring in as a plate welder. I learned to TIG over my lunch hours and approx. 1 year later tested and passed boiler tube test. Worked 9 years as a Boilermaker becoming certified at several locations throughout Local 363 territory on B&W and CE plants.
