I commenced my employ as an Accountant, performing all accounting and financial activities on a computerized accounting system, on a parttime basis,
while fully employed at another local firm. After several years, and my re-
tiring from the other firm, my activities and duties became more involved, and I was asked to be more “full time”. My responsibilities as VP-Finance &
Dir. Of Administration, encompassed: all insurances; personnel; payroll;
accounting & financial activities, as well as monthly financial reporting,
plus overseeing maintenance of facilities, and contracting with an outside
CPA firm to perform an independent audit and prepare 990 tax returns
and financial reports.
When I was first employed, we had a staff of 7; when I left, it had grown
to 21. During that same period of time, our revenues/expenses increased
dramatically as well as the need for a new data base and accounting soft-
wares for compatibility with fund developing.
