I thank you in advance for this opportunity to introduce myself, as you read above my name is Jeff Marek.
You will find in reading my resume’ that I am twenty-seven year veteran to the working world, who has National and International experience in Contracting, Management, Sales, Manufacturing, and Distribution. Working since the early nineteen eighties I started in working concrete and literally proceeded up to the roof. During my tenure inside of buildings I have obtained multiple skills, they include extensive management/marketing, sales/estimating experience, human relations, scheduling, accounting and common computer operations (to summarize).
I have the self-discipline and determination to work independently and co-ordinate multiple trades on multiple projects simultaneously. My understanding of the importance in project deadlines, contract interpretation and record keeping will be a solid asset in my next endeavor. The positions I have held in the past have been long-term and attended to with pride and ownership. I am finding that many employers are seeking post-secondary graduates; I believe my numerous years in the working world, my education (and licensing) has surpassed any curriculum offered by universities.
I have recently been forced to close my company due to the downturn in the economy. I have filed my licenses inactive with no intentions of re-opening them again. I am seeking a secure company for permanent employment. Although I have worked independently (in the residential sector) for the past several years, I have several years of experience in the corporate world and have retained the respect and operating principles needed to understand corporate structure. While my technical experience is in the construction field, my management, sales and administrative skills are universal and are an asset to any industry. I am a family oriented person that is committed to quality.
