Designation Engineer – Supplier Quality Assurance (New Product Development)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with Purchase, Engineering, Incoming Inspection & Project Management & supplier to develop the new projects.

2. Continually interact with respective R&D to sort out design related matters to complete PQP and provide to suppliers.

3. Make a Part Quality Plan (PQP) before sending RFQ to supplier.

4. Completely filled and signed copy of PQP and Technical review check list to be received from the supplier before signing the comparative quote

5. APQP methodology for all new development of parts / re-sourcing and assemblies together with the respective Buyer

6. AOI (Agreement of Inspection) with supplier for all existing and new developments parts

7. Validate Supplier PPAP Documents.

8. Adhere OPIL file updation on weekly basis for weekly team review with SQA Manager

9. For parts getting rejected including FAI's at incoming, Line and customer end, reasons to be analyzed to initiate CAPA and ensure 100% implementation at supplier end and monitor for its effectiveness.

10. Initiate and validate corrective and preventive actions including containment actions with the suppliers for all ongoing quality issues through QRQC

11. Develop supplier's QA Engineers / Inspectors in line with FTIL inspection methodology to ensure FIRST TIME RIGHT.

12. Identify Tooling, Gauges & Fixture requirement & make it available at supplier end.

13. Monitoring the process capability at supplier end (SPC).

14. For the Non-Conformances, through PDCA and 8D problems solving techniques.

15. Achieve and sustain the incoming quality rejection level within 1500 PPM

16. Supplier Performance level monitoring,

17. Achieve Free pass or Green channel with suppliers.

18. To carry out audits at supplier end & follow up for the Corrective actions for Audit findings.
