Description : The project work highlights an experimental framework application which is based on the fact that distributed denial of service attack is a serious threat to the legitimate use of the internet. The project work actually proposes an intermediate packet filter architecture that can mitigate the level of IP spoofing on the internet. The project work is implemented to prove that with partial deployment on the internet, IDPF can proactively limit the spoofing capability of attackers and thereby assist in finding the origin of an attack packet to small experimental networks.
