Originally hired as the AWHR Assets & Logistics Manager to oversee the movement of water heater inventory and reduce costs. After greatly reducing AWHR and USP expenses by negotiating prices with vendors and third party contractors was promoted to one of six director positions. Managed the Contractor Services Department, which is responsible for approving/disputing/denying invoices. Directly supervised three high-level managers, including the AWHR Florida Operations Manager, who serviced over 30K appliance rental customers with six field technicians located at two branches, the AWHR Midwest Facilities Manager, who serviced over 60K appliance rental customers in five states, and the USP Manager of the Contractor Network, who dealt with third party contractors on a daily basis in sixty cities located in twenty states.

Achievements:

• Consolidated the AWHR network of contractors from over 900 nationwide down to a manageable 20+ within the first 6 months of employment

• Reduced AWHR expenses over $1.5M in the first year with continued annual cost reduction

Joined Precision Coil, an aluminum re-roll manufacturer, as Global Logistics Manager, responsible for cost control of all inbound and outbound freight within the U.S. and foreign countries. Dispatched PCI’s tractor-trailer to better serve and meet our customer’s just in-time delivery requirements. Managed traffic department consisting of two direct reporting employees and oversaw two packing lines consisting of 12 employees. Named Safety Manager in April 2006. Instructed monthly safety training classes to all plant employees, and conducted monthly plant safety tours with management team to ensure OSHA standards were being met. Initiated and performed daily morning walk through of the plant, listing lineup of shop orders at all machines in order to mend fractured communication lines between sales and operations and increase morale. Tracked and monitored daily rolling mill and packing production figures along with weekly on-time promise performance of all customer orders.

Achievements:

• Responsible for reducing the average freight cost per pound 11% since 2005 when the cost of diesel fuel soared to all time highs

• Decreased the number of OSHA recordable accidents 34% and lost time accidents 19% since 2006

• Increased rolling mill and packing production line performance by promoting healthy competition among shifts by use of visual aids. This improved on-time delivery performance from 73.7% in 2005 to 91.3% in 2009.
