• Managed all aspects of the audit program for repair suppliers and Avaya facilities engaging in the repair process worldwide.
• Led effort to re-establish out of box failure return process for domestic and international maintenance and provisioning customers, conducted internal audits to ISO 9001-2000 within Global Operations.
• Managed a group of 5 auditors responsible for both repaired product and repair processes. Audits were conducted to predetermined AQLs and ISO 9002 requirements. Deficiencies were tracked through conclusion via a closed loop corrective action system.

• Identified opportunities for quality improvement both internally and within the supplier base. • Developed First Article and inspection planning requirements for electro-mechanical components including motors, encoders, fans, pneumatic pumps, solenoids, etc. All were utilized across the tape and disk product lines of this ISO 9001 certified Fortune 500 provider of data storage solutions.
• Worked with supplier base to implement preventive process control techniques to assure the continued flow of defect-free product. Efforts in one case resulted in excess of $100K annualized cost savings when acceptance criteria on automated winding equipment were defined and attained.
STATISTICAL PROCESS ENGINEER
Electro-Mechanical, StorageTek, Louisville, CO (1987 – 1990)
• Consulted with 14 key suppliers representing a variety of industries including ASIC packaging, injection molding, machining, metals forming, castings, PWA’s and PCB’s. The objective was the completion of a critical assessment of their quality systems exposing areas for improvement and providing quality tools and expertise for correcting them. Successes resulted in product cost reductions.
