Lead Counselor & Office Supervisor

Responsibilities Provided vocational training, job development and placement for eligible persons

with diagnosed emotional, developmental and/or physical disabilities. First 10

years, provided direct client services, including case management follow along to

an annual caseload of 80 adults. Remaining years with the State, until retirement,

was responsible for hiring, trai ning, supervising, and conducting annual

performance evaluations on 8 professional Counselors and 4 support staff. Also

managed a large service budget, including allocation of caseload funds to each

Counselor. Developed and maintained effective working relationships with

community providers and employers. Daily positive customer service, multitasking

and open communication was what made our office successful and our

clients get/keep employment.
