Restructure heat treating processes to meet shipping demands. Other responsibilities included the following: Project Management relating to environmental requirements. Headed up major projects such as the removal and installation of a new 40.000 gallon per day precipitation waste water treatment facility orchestrating the manual treatment and removal of plating waste during the construction and transition period. Set up a Heat Treating facility in the U.S.A. for Iwata Bolt Inc. Managed all the environmental permitting and hazardous waste removal. Implemented programs such as Kaizen, 6-S and a first responder hazardous materials team. Received Supervisor of the month 6 times before being promoted to Manager. Trained in special atmosphere uses for carburizing to JIS Standards. Set up the physical testing laboratory and trained operators on how to perform carburization & de-carburization checks/test by case depth using hardness testing equipment Vickers, Knoop, Rockwell C, D, and A Superficial 30-N and 15-N, Tensile, Shear and Torque test. (Metric and Standard)
