. Grow, support, and maintain membership, volunteers,

funding, training, and operations of a 5 county area in

south Alabama.

. Have increased membership and financial contributions in

each of the last 2 years.

. Led Camping Operations to be fully nationally accredited

(meeting both BSA and ACA standards) with perfect scores in

2011 and 2012.

. Restructured Camp operations resulting in a net financial

o Implemented the C-4 (check, check, recheck, and check

again) and CHECK (clothing, hair, equipment,

carabineer, knots) safety systems that apply to staff

and participants. In 4 years, this team has never

had a reportable safety incident and only 6 near

misses (splinters, pinches, rope burns, etc.) in over

1,200 participants.

o In 2010 and 2011 received a perfect score during ACCT

accreditation (the most stringent in the industry).

. Developed and implemented a camp safety program:

o 100% of the staff trained in First Aid, CPR, AED, and

blood borne pathogens.

o 100% of the staff trained in Weather Hazards - how to

recognize and react to hazardous weather.

o Developed and wrote a Health and Safety Plan for each

job description on Camp. HSP included risk factors,

mitigating risk, use of appropriate PPE, emergency

action plans, and proper procedures for responding to

an incident.

o Completely replaced the MSDS HAZCOM data camp wide.

o Conducted safety drills with Staff and Campers in

lost swimmer, lost camper, hazardous weather, and

forest fire.
