Dear Hiring Manager,
I am applying for the Studio Host position at Pirate Studios in Bushwick. As a recent
graduate of the Master of Music Technology program at NYU Steinhardt, with experience
supporting recording studios, live events, and creative communities, I am passionate about
the opportunity to help create a welcoming, safe, and professional environment for artists.
Through my internship at Gonzo s Studios in New York City, I assisted with rehearsal
sessions, studio recordings, and live events, supporting artists with equipment setup,
troubleshooting, and session logistics. I regularly worked with musicians, bands, and event
attendees, helping ensure that sessions ran smoothly while maintaining a positive and
professional atmosphere. This experience taught me how to balance customer service,
technical support, and problem-solving in fast-paced creative environments.
Beyond studio work, I have extensive experience in customer-facing and support roles in
both US and Canada. I have also volunteered and worked at numerous music and cultural
events, including Audio Engineering Society (AES) New York, Canadian Music Week, and
community arts programs and colleges. These roles involved welcoming guests, monitoring
event spaces, coordinating with teams, addressing attendee needs, and helping maintain safe
and organized environments. I am CPR and First Aid certified and understand the importance
of responsibility, situational awareness, and clear communication when working with the
public.
I am passionate about supporting creative communities and understand the importance of
having reliable, well-maintained spaces where artists can focus on their work. Pirate Studios'
mission of providing accessible creative spaces strongly resonates with me, and I would be
proud to contribute to the experience artists have at your Bushwick location.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how
my background in music, customer service, and community engagement can contribute to
Pirate Studios.
Sincerely,
Robbie Ahmed
