PROJECTS
Africatown Oral History Archive
This project is centered around the continuous research partnership between Dr. Janet Fiskio and members of the Africatown community.
Guided by Dr. Janet Fiskio's mentorship, my role involves contributing as a web developer for the Africatown Omeka archive. This entails fine-
tuning the current website, implementing enhancements, and collaborating closely with Oberlin's Digital Initiatives Coordinator to ensure
seamless integration of these modifications
I-Clicker and Student Retention Rates in Computer Science
Building upon prior research at a larger institution, a correlation was established between i-clicker responses and exam performance, aiding in
the assessment of student success in early Computer Science courses under the mentorship of Dr. Cynthia Taylor. I-clickers, facilitating
dynamic polling with multiple-choice questions, enabled researchers to analyze student responses in-class. This analysis was then correlated
with exam outcomes to identify at-risk students and inform professors of potential support strategies. Leveraging Python and Pandas, we
developed visual models using data from Oberlin College, aligning our findings with the established research outcomes
