Study Name: Estimation of Risk Associated with Zoonotic Tuberculosis in Tamil Nadu, South India (ERAzTB).
Role & Responsibilities:
Assessed zoonotic TB risk through human and cattle sample analysis
Processed human pulmonary samples and extrapulmonary samples (e.g., lymph node, tissue biopsies etc.) and cattle-derived samples (lymph node tissues, lung tissues, etc.)
Used NaOH decontamination method and performed tissue grinding, homogenization, and centrifugation
Skilled DNA extraction using CTAB method from scraped colonies on 7H11 plate, LJ media, and 7H9 liquid medium concentrate for PCR and sequencing analyses
