Senior Design Engineer – EV Traction Motors (Client: Magna Powertrain) Tata Elxsi Ltd. Mar 2022 – Mar 2025

- Designed a 250 kW, 800 V, 56/6 pole IPMSM traction motor from scratch based on Magna Powertrain design specifications.

- Performed magnet loss simulations, 3D back-EMF analysis, active short-circuit simulations, and magnet demagnetization studies using ANSYS Maxwell.

- Executed end-winding inductance calculations using Maxwell 3D to improve model accuracy.

- Studied the effect of stator interlocking mechanisms on electromagnetic performance of the e-motor.

- Performed continuous and peak thermal simulations of IPMSM using MotorCAD.

- Implemented magnet curve fitting using supplier data in MotorCAD to accurately predict motor performance.
