Provide Tier I, Tier II and Tier III services to children, families and school staff at Daspit Road Elementary School in Iberia Parish. Services offered are in place to assist students with optimum school attendance, establish a safe place to grow and learn, and help the underserved navigate through, around and over barriers to achieve academic and social success. Provide needs assessments, school and student support plans, goals, progress monitoring and goal achievement. In addition to providing case managed and non case managed services to students in need, the Site Coordinator offers brief solution focused counseling and maladaptive behavior strategies to all participants of the school and families of the community. SEL, classroom and small groups are available to help students cope with grief/loss, anger and other difficult emotions, anxiety, depression and other social and mental health challenges. Site Coordinators partner with community agencies to bring all stakeholders together and make referrals to mental health professionals for crisis and non crisis cases. Educating students, families, staff members on the CIS model of services offered is a continuous responsibility for the CIS Site coordinator. Other duties include regular check in and reporting to the principal/administrators of the school and attending and participating in SBLC and IEP meetings upon request. Site Coordinators play an active roll in committees such as PBIS and provide attendance incentives. Ongoing administrative duties include timely updating and maintaining electronic records in CISDM, providing data reports to DSS, weekly supervision meetings with supervisor, monthly peer supervision meetings and managing school budget.
