Professional Experience

02/2025 – Current - CIBC Contract - Senior Automation engineer

Working on building various automation tools for ASG DCC applications, executing transactions simulating clients credit card online activity, including combinations of transactions Inquiry, Withdrawal, Reversals.

Using Postman and SOATest Parasoft tool, code written in Java, Python to handle package differences between clients sent data through channels using ISO8583 protocol. Created Java packages to test various Rest API Web services built by developers to assure transaction data injection accuracy.

Built java tool to analyze Production log files and extract related data by given criteria, time range and client IDs, built and sent JSON requests to lower environment, which will generate logs, for further comparison with Production generated logs for matching. Suit to validate Transactions xml Responses to DB entries.

Used and helped with development of DevOps pipelines to execute various testing processes and activities, restarting services, update parameters, deployments. Pipelines connected to GitHub, Jira.

Daily use of AI and Copilot is integrated with IntelliJ and VSCode for ongoing tasks. Teaching AI for creation of Test Cases from requirements.

12/2023 – 01/2025 – Scotiabank Contract – Automation Test Lead (QA / QC Test Lead – 5)

Working on upgrade of Charles River application for Mexico, Chile, Peru. Upgrade, conversion, ETL, data migration, configuration changes profiles, IBOR, portfolio calculations, batch jobs, new security types and asset classes implementations.

DevOps pipelines are integrated with Jira Xray, linking requirements and code from Bitbucket, GitHub. Used Azure Boards for defect tracking by creating work items (Bugs)

Testing for implemented changes after upgrade and accuracy of booked trades. Scope of testing over 100 user stories, covering: buy, sell, cover, short, of all asset classes are covered by implemented automation.

Build automation suit using Python, various frameworks, supporting windows applications. The Automation initiative started from scratch, due to end of licensing previous tools. Using RPA Framework, numpy library and pytest framework. Automation focuses on booking trades for various security types.

Working on automating various OLSG Student application modules as well as End-to-End flows, multiple student applications, negative test scenarios, events creation triggered by various data inputs

Worked with business to identify business flows incorporated in Performance test scripts, calculated projected TPS and scaled environment to match Prod capacity (Web VUser)

Involved in execution of various test aspects of SCD upgrade from current PROD 6.2 to latest 21.04 with PROD delivery in December, after VnT remaining agreed coverage.

Worked with upstream Charles River system to provide feeds for SimCorp application based on requirements

Created and successfully executed multiple Automation suits: for UI automation (UFT) validating trade files arrival from Charles River and full trade processing till position status, involving full verification against inbound file, covering whole range of Scotia used Security Types (UFT), created suits (Java) BJG Batch logs comparison, Security roles comparison validation of extracts (Java).

Heavily involved in preparation of SimCorp scheduled releases including refreshes, files processing for various test scenarios and post modifications. Hands-On experience with Tibco, queues, communicating with SCD involved in investigations of Application long running queries that pinpoint to execution plan was out of date for specific queries, causing each time rebuilding it. Managed user Authorizations. Testing various scenarios files produced by SimCorp feeding other applications, how SCD changes populating new DB fields, tested modifications to batch jobs, SCD App, App Server, correspondent Oracle DB upgrade, creation of DEX files.
