Kroger Foods Manufacturing Plant/Sanitation Unit
March 2017 – April 2025 40 hours per week
I used multiple cleaning agents, sanitizers, foams, and arousals to clean these large commercial machines. Allergen testing and cleaning were performed on all machines when peanuts were used etc. Strict cleaning protocols were followed for allergen cleanups. This was consistent with OSHA, federal, and other regulations. Various surfaces were sanitized and dried. The employee breakroom was mopped. Tables sanitized along with cleaning of microwave ovens. Utensils used for food were cleaned in designated sink areas. Trash at multiple sites had to be picked up and delivered to designated trash bins. A database that tracked what was cleaned or not for any particular day was given to each employee to help track daily accomplishments. Replenished paper towels and soap dispensers. Cardboard was taken to a cardboard bailer. Careful cleaning habits resulted in fewer complaints from customers. Cleaning activities upon completion were recorded on task sheets at the end of the shift thus keeping in compliance with strict Kroger protocols for cleaning in food environments. Cross contamination occurrences were few. I worked well with others and I accepted every task given to me by supervisors or forepersons. I went beyond my work duties by seeking multiple certifications to improve my knowledge of environmental hygiene. I was respectful of deadlines. I held good relationships with other departments as well. I did my best to operationalize the Kroger mission and values. I had to pay strict attention to all chemical labeling. PPE were used at all times and, in some cases when there is a biohazard to clean up. Acknowledgement of proper disposal of both trash and infectious items were implemented as occasion arises. All infection prevention practices were followed. Good personal hygiene practices where followed. Following supervisors instructions were also adhered to. We reported to the supervisor when inventory and supplies were low.
