Office duties (see “office”). Supervising visits in high conflict custody cases, supervise visits in neglect and abuse cases, parent coaching using trauma informed care techniques, working with department team for each family to ensure the treatment plans were successful, helped team prepare for court, testified in court if necessary, detailed documentation on MS Word, team-work, and excellent communication skills. I started a domestic violence group where I counseled and offered support to the different DV women in the group at the meetings I arranged and during the week as I was available. Assisting therapist by scheduling clients, collecting fees, picking up dry cleaning, choosing new office space, organizing and producing workshops, and interviewing potential clients for group work. (I was Peggy’s executive assistant). As a volunteer victim advocate I was required to assess any special needs that a victim may have regarding their participation in court proceedings to their case. I provided information, support and appropriate referrals for victims of, and witnesses to, crime. I answered any questions or concerns and provided information regarding court hearings and other criminal justice system procedures. I sometimes also helped a victim or survivor on applying for Crime Victim Compensation, completing a Victim Impact Statement and assisting with documenting expenses for restitution.I worked directly with the prosecuting attorneys in arranging for witnesses to appear for courtroom testimony. I provided orientation to the courtroom and education about the criminal justice system and kept victims informed about the trial verdict. I also provided emotional support and practical assistance to victims or witnesses before, during and after they were subpoenaed to testify in their court proceeding.
