Multilingual Travel Planner and Translator

Hello, I’m very interested in this position. I’m having a tooth pulled today, so my resume will follow shortly.

I have extensive experience planning and coordinating travel. I’ve visited nearly every country in Europe (22 so far) as well as Morocco, and have arranged rail and air itineraries for myself and others. I’m comfortable navigating visa procedures, currency issues, hotel policies, and lodging logistics across different cultures and legal systems.

I also work as a translator and interpreter. I earned a Certificate in Translation and Interpreting from the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Berlin, and I’ve always been fascinated by how language shapes understanding across cultures.

My academic background includes a B.A. in Linguistics (with distinction) from the University of Michigan, postgraduate study at two German universities, and an M.A. in Russian from the University of Illinois, where I also taught Russian. My years abroad helped me learn to adapt quickly, listen closely, and approach new situations with patience and curiosity.

Outside of work, I’m a classical pianist and enjoy comparing the capabilities of the different mini PCs in my collection.
