2022-2025: Lionel Capital – Controller

Supervised all accounting functions for two corporate groups with common ownership: one (cosmetics manufacturer) using NetSuite accounting software, the other (real estate and sports venue management) using Sage Intacct software.

Responsible for all financial statements, bank reconciliations and subsidiary schedules, including A/P, A/R, and mortgage amortization.

1989-2007: Block & Rose Inc. – Controller / V.P. Operations

Prepared interim external financial statements for banks, vendors, insurance and leasing companies, and major customers. Compiled all accounting journals and reconciled all general ledgers and consolidation entries from which outside auditors prepared quarterly and annual financial statements.

Supervised all payroll transactions (through ADP), from time card data conversion and check processing through filing of all payroll tax forms (NJ, NYS and NYC). Negotiated contract provisions with Teamsters and other trade unions, including Ironworkers, Carpenters, Laborers and Operating Engineers.

Cut payroll by $600,000 (60%) in 1989 to prevent the default and bankruptcy of the corporation, without increasing unemployment experience rating. Managed collection of accounts receivable.
