Tata Consultancy Services – IN & US July 2020 – Till Date
Role: Senior ETL Lead Developer
Client: Verizon Communication Inc.
Project: Enterprise Product Catalog
Project Overview: Verizon is an American wireless network operator that previously operated as a separate division of Verizon Communications under the name of Verizon Wireless. In a 2019 reorganization, Verizon moved the wireless products and services into the divisions Verizon Consumer and Verizon Business and stopped using the Verizon Wireless name.
Enterprise Product Catalog Project is to modernize product catalog system by migrating from ATG BCC to Amdocs CatalogOne. This project will include the migration of the Product catalog data such as SIM Info, IOT, MCS, Accessories, Devices, Bundles, Plans, Promotions etc. This new Amdocs CatalogOne environment is one centralized environment which will reduce lot of transitions on the source DB's. Data migrated to Amdocs to be consumed by all channels (Mobile Apps, POS, Verizon Website etc). This EPC will interpret data from backend to front end channels. ETL / Informatica team works very closely with BCC system and develops mappings to extract the data from the source system. Java development team works on translating the flat files from source system to desired JSON format according to AMDOCS guidelines and push it to C1 UI with help of API's. This EPC-CatalogOne will allow users to enrich the data directly on the UI as well.
