Hello!
In advance, thank you for reading this letter of introduction. You will see from this letter and from my resume that I am fortunate to have had extensive experience in C-Suite and executive level administrative support. I would be delighted and excited to be interviewed by you to discuss how this experience may effectively transfer to your organization. Following is just a summary with a few touchpoints of my professional history. Currently:
At the current time, I have begun my return to the work force as a Recreation Center Assistant at Rowan University in support of the 50+ campus-wide Sports Clubs. In this place-holder role, I manage student reimbursement requests, purchasing needs, invoice processing, budget support for all the clubs, new vendor requests, and purchasing card support for the Director of Sports Clubs. While content in this role, I am very eager to explore full-time opportunities in an executive level environment.
Background:
With discretion and independent judgement, I managed the confidential calendar of the EVP for Independence Blue Cross in a C-suite environment in coordination with internal and external partners. During my 13-years with Rowan University, I managed confidential calendars for executive and senior administration in support of both the Office of the President and the Division of University Research. While specifically planning and coordinating the participation of our SVP for Research and relative collaboration with other entities internally and externally, I provided this support concurrent with the robust growth of the Research Division of fifteen to 35-strong. In addition to managing dynamic calendars, ensuring travel arrangements both domestic and international, providing meeting preparation and hospitality for high-level meetings, and anticipating and ensuring the needs of the Research Division were met, I served as the face of our organization to internal departments and externally to partners we collaborated with. The result was that both our internal and our external partners understood with confidence that they had a reliable resource in me, and I would be delighted to do the same for you. Three unique aspects of my experience that distinguish me from my peers are: 1. I took the initiative to organize communication and training among our Divisional support staff which spanned four separate locations. This provided our Division with continuity of best practices. 2. As an Advisory Board member of the ACE Women’s Network at Rowan University, and subsequently following my 3-year term, I proudly served as a mentor to two women for approximately 18-months. It was inspiring and rewarding for me to see the success of these women before my eyes and to validate the value of the coaching and mentoring which I had provided.
3. As an independent contractor for entertainment services and event consultation, I help to drive the successful planning and implementation of creative projects and events within budget. In advance, thank you for taking the time to review this letter and my resume. I look forward to hearing from you to explore how I may support your important work.
With best regards,
Joanie
