We establish and maintain relationships with key K12 educational leaders in Arizona to facilitate connections between GCU/GCE departments and colleges. I partner with organizations to support the K12 community through training, communication, networking, and conferences.

Sacaton Elementary School District 646 students and 123 employees
As Superintendent, I enthusiastically lead using a communication plan and collaborative structures to foster positive relationships throughout the District and between the community and the District. I was also responsible for Human Resources, Communication, and implementing action steps to eliminate audit findings. I collaborated with a 5-member Governing Board and worked closely with the Gila River Indian Tribal Education Department and Educational Standing Committee. Additionally, I reported quarterly to the Gila River Indian Governmental Council. We created and implemented a 5-year Strategic Plan, aligned all annual employee goals and department goals to the plan, completed a comprehensive policy review, a capital asset inventory, and oversight of the curriculum adoption for Math and ELA. I submitted and received serval grants for the organization totaling in over three hundred thousand dollars. Deployed a 1-to-1 Home/school technology initiative, successfully created, and implemented a stakeholder-driven Return to School Plan.

Implemented a successful Return to School plan, waiver regarding onsite support, a daily check-in protocol, hotspots for students, technology deployment, including a designated technology support person to respond to inquiries, and continued meal service throughout the community.

Provided leadership in establishing the vision and mission of the school and collaborated with staff members to create appropriate structures and processes to support improvement goals. Utilized a departmentalized, cross-curricular approach to become one of the top K-8 schools in Arizona. Dramatically outperformed peer schools and infused technology in all learning activities. Cultivated one of the largest parent groups and increased business partners. Maintain budgets for all programs and services. Established the first STEM Academy, received the A+ School of Excellence Award, Superintendent's Award, Red Carpet Award, and Excelling School label. We secured outside funding to support and sustain the STEM Academy.

Led a change initiative to improve the culture of seasoned staff through the revision process. Increased student achievement established a school-wide literacy program, tiered interventions, and a parent organization. There were over 19 languages represented within the community we served. Earned state recognition for significantly improving student results. Facilitated 21 High-Performance Teaching & Learning district-wide and served on an AdvancED site visit.

Created and implemented process improvement structures for Safe School, facility management, discipline, athletics, student activities, student registration, hiring and teacher assignments, staff development, curriculum and instruction, and promotion. Coordinated the A+ application process to include all staff, business partners, and community members. Responsible for all budget management. Coordinated district efforts to secure a funding source to establish and deploy safe school kits to all schools. Facilitated on-boarding training for new hires, which promoted building leadership capacity and capabilities.
