WORKING EXPERIENCE
Work as safety and security officer at the Sierra Leone Maritime Administration.
Job Description:
. As security and safety officer to handle all security and safety issues within the maritime domains.
Also work with the US Coast Guard and the Joint Maritime Unit (JMC) and to see all security and safety matters within the coast and boarders of Sierra Leone.
. Work at the Sierra Leone Port Authority in all departments, such as, operations, Safety, Container, Documentation, Marine Slip way, Harbor department, including mooring and training department.
Work in the harbor department onboard tug Jui as a deckhands and training navigator
. Monitor all boats operating in our waters; make sure that all safety gears are in good working order;
. Make sure that the boats are seaworthy to ply the waters of Sierra Leone;
.Engaged in all search and rescue operations in in our waters for the past 7 years in the Joint Operation Centre.
. Also steer the search and Rescue boat of the Administration for any emergency purposes.
.Provide services to all the Fisheries Monitoring Centre to run on 24 hours a day.
.Monitor fishing vessels via the vessel monitoring system and radio reporting system installed at the Join Maritime Committee (JMC).
. Work as maritime safety and security officer at the Sierra Leone Maritime Administration (SLMA).
Work in the communication department, monitor all VHF and HF Radio, DSC Radio and satellite communication system such as GMDSS.
