Developed new applications while working closely with Product Management, QA, Professional Services and Customer Support.
PERL Experience: Coding, troubleshooting, and data analysis with high performance scripts e.g., fixed a bug that was taking longer than system threshold generating false alarms and failures. The fix cut down the processing time from 6hrs to < 3min. In another example investigated a client reported issue of 30,000 missing records with a script that processed and analyzed 1.8 million+ production records and found 29,124 records using multiple search algorithms in less than 27 seconds.

I was involved with day-to-day operations that included data loader, data filter and multiple downstream processes involving hotel reservation data.
PERL Experience: The TravelClick hotel data loader application suite was based on the Perl App Framework, a proprietary suite of object-oriented layer that was designed at TravelClick that included a robust DB interface. The data loader was an ETL app suite also implemented its own objects to configure, scrub, standardize, load, store and encrypt customer data.

Worked at RelayHealth, a division of McKesson Corp, an organization that specializes in processing health records in the pharmaceutical industry. Below are some of the major projects that I worked on as a Senior Engineer of Data Services group.
PERL Experience: Below are few major projects, fully implemented in Perl.
Analytic Data Warehouse: Part of an ongoing development of an analytic data warehouse that collected and analyzed 55-60 million pharmacy claim transactions daily in real-time. It was Star Schema architecture implemented in Oracle 11i on Linux.
Prescriber Services: This was a Prescriber/Provider database implemented using JavaCAPS. Provider data from multiple sources such as NABP, NPPES, DEA were standardized and weighed and input to a JCAPS engine to create a data store. Customized data feeds were developed to deliver data to clients. Specific role was to develop ETL applications, data submission to JCAPS and data feeds using Perl, SQL, JSON and interacting with RESTful web services.
Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP): This was a value-added service provided by RelayHealth to help independent and chain pharmacies to participate in various State Government regulated drug control program. Applications were deployed to manage data submission and report generation in batch mode and web-based UI. Specific role was to design and develop PERL packages with embedded SQL and PL/SQL procedures to manage data, generate reports.
Emergency Response System (RxResponse): This project was designed to support access to open pharmacy during a public health disaster. Using real-time transaction monitoring, data was supplied to emergency management agency, when the system gets activated during national disaster. Designed and developed it independently using Perl and embedded SQL. Fully automated in production. Also provided production support.

PERL Experience: Below are some of the major projects that were fully implemneted in Perl.
Automation of E-OSCAR Referrals, Public Records: Developed new applications such as Automation of Consumer Fraud Referrals, renovation of Batch Interface Specification with Public Record Vendors and Automation of Pubic Record Dispute Verification, These redesigned applications replaced older manual processing of data resulting in cost saving and increased efficiency. Also worked as the technical lead for the transition to the new E-OSCAR system.
Automation of AUD and UDF Records: Developed application to automate daily batch of out-of-cycle account updates received from a numerous data provider from E-OSCAR network. The application reached an automation capacity of 98 and saved the department more than $5,000,000 every year from processing these records manually.
ACIS E-OSCAR System: E-OSCAR is a Credit Data Industry Association Metro-II compliant online network of three major Credit Reporting Agencies (CRA), Data Furnishers (DF) comprising of Credit Card issuers, Banks, Mortgage Reporting companies. The network resolves consumer disputes with high degree of accuracy and efficiency. E-OSCAR network was also expanded to include transfer of federally regulated compliance data (known as FACT Act) among CRAs and DFs. Automated Equifax ACIS and E-OSCAR systems interface using a set of applications: to spool data using E-OSCAR Batch Interface Specification, to transmit and receive batch data to and from E-OSCAR securely over ConnectDirect transport, and finally to automatically process E-OSCAR responses and resolve ACIS cases.

PERL Experience: This was my initial exposure to Perl where I worked with an architect who designed a software build management system with Perl. Later on, I had he role and responsibility to enhance and maintain the same app suite.
Asset and Information Management (AIM): Worked in the development team of Intergraph’s Asset and Information Management (AIM) system, an enterprise-wide information management solution. As a member of AIM/Server group, worked on various server-side modules such AIM/Bulkload utility, AIM/Full Text Retrieval (AIM/FTR). Developed a AIM/Server build system using Perl that integrated the source code control system with platform-specific build system and packaging and delivery of the products to a centralized delivery node.
Relational Interface Systems (RIS): Worked as software analyst to design, develop, support and test Relational Interface Systems (RIS) group. Ported RIS to multiple other UNIX environments such as DG-UX running on Data General, Sun Solaris. Ported X-Window based RIS Utilities, RIS Client, RIS Dataservers and RIS Automated Test Procedures (RISATP).
