B.S Biology, minor in Chemistry (Independent study in Biostatistics) August 2022-May 2026 6x Dean’s List Honoree
National Society of Leadership and Success Nominee PROJECTS
Statistical Analysis to understand how sediment Grain Size is associated with Flounder Species Characteristics August 2025-Current Along the U.S. Atlantic Coast, Dr.Farina Marine Biology Lab.
• Designing and executing an independent research project analyzing the relationship between sediment grain size and flounder species distribution along the U.S. East Coast.
• Cleaning and structuring large ecological datasets, integrated fish sampling data with sediment data by latitude/longitude
• Applying statistical methods (ANOVA, chi-square, Pearson/Spearman correlations, regression modeling) in RStudio to identify species–habitat associations with applications for sustainable flounder fish settlement patterns research.
Medication Patterns in Overactive Bladder Management: A National Ambulatory Medical Care May 2025-July 2025 Survey Analysis of Patient Characteristics and Treatment Selection (2012–2019)
• Conducted a retrospective analysis of 575 OAB-related visits from 236,613 outpatient encounters using NAMCS data (2012–2019).
• Classified treatments as anticholinergics or β3-agonists and analyzed prescribing patterns by demographic and clinical factors.
• Used R to run descriptive statistics, chi-squared/Wilcoxon tests, and multivariable logistic regression to identify predictors of treatment selection.
Patient Factors Associated with Clinical Trial Participation at Weill Cornell Medicine / New York May 2025- July 2025 Presbyterian Hospital Across Cancer Types.
• Used feature engineering for disease learning models by deriving structured variables from ICD-10 codes and clinical trial metadata for breast, colon, rectal, prostate, and lung cancer patients.
• Queried and integrated EHR data and clinical trial data using SQL, analyzing 236,613 outpatient visits from Jan 2022–2024.
• Conducted bivariate and multivariable regression analyses in R to identify demographic, clinical, and geographic predictors of clinical trial enrollment.
• Used R to analyze geographic variation in enrollment patterns across ZIP codes and patient service areas. Spelling Bee game October -December 2024
Developed a terminal-based word game inspired by The New York Times' Spelling Bee, enabling users to form valid words from a set of seven letters.
• Implemented scoring logic, including bonus points for pangrams, and enforced rules for word validation using Python.
• Applied programming concepts such as functions, loops, and conditionals to create a modular and maintainable codebase while enhancing user experience with real-time feedback. EXPERIENCE
Sarcoma Alliance for Research through Collaboration (SARC) Remote Assistant Research Biostatistician September 2025-Current
• Cleaning and standardizing research datasets for accuracy and consistency.
• Developing and maintaining Data Dictionaries for harmonized data integration.
• Utilizing case report forms (CRFs) to inform data structure and standards.
• Updating and aligning study-specific Data Dictionaries (e.g., SARC038) with Data for Common Good requirements. Weill Cornell Medicine, NewYork Presbyterian NYC, New York Biostatistics Intern May 2025- July 2025
• Utilized SQL and R to clean, manipulate, and analyze large-scale clinical datasets, identifying key patient characteristics associated with accrual to cancer clinical trials across multiple study types.
• Conducted statistical analyses, including chi-square tests and t-tests, to evaluate differences in demographics and clinical factors between trial participants and non-participants.
• Gained valuable career and professional development through mentorship, networking, and exposure to different techniques and skills used in epidemiology, biostatistics, informatics, and clinical research.
