Job duties included daily production needs, proper model mix, safety of associates; assuring associates followed their SOPS, quality of product and scrap tracking, including implementing of countermeasures for nonconforming product, and practicing lean manufacturing. All done within ISO compliance. I was a machining supervisor at American Showa for 12 years before transferring to a quality position. Quality job duties include disposition of all scrap, including the why, why, why method and 5 p of problem solving of why nonconforming product occurred. Scrap tracking, scrap trends and scrap costs. Control of all part sorts. Also perform CPK studies for all current and all new models. Work with PQCT's and FMEA's. Work with X-R charts. Responsible for quality of machining product to assembly and final customer.
